    Does anybody know if I didn't pay like $1.00 or $0.50 if they would "ASSUME" the balance????

    I still have 0.00% interest...so it would NOT cost any interest till 08/2003 or 09/2003...not sure yet...

    I ask because I had -$0.02 on DISCOVERCARD and they "ASSUMED" IT!!! They kept it!!!
    Said something like---->LOW BALANCE ASSUMPTION...

    I just want to make them send us another couple of statements for $1.00 or $0.50!!!

    I don't know for sure about Chase, but a lot of places write off small balances. I used to work for an insurance company and they wrote off something like under $2 or $5, I don't remember which. Once I learned that, every year I was still insured with them I paid to just the limit so they wrote off a few bucks!

    I JUST WANTED TO HAVE THEM GET A CLUE THAT THEY "JACKED" THE WRONG PEOPLE!!!

    Yesterday I called the Special Dept at Chase posted by "platinum" to lower my APR purchase rate from 7,99% to 6.99%, the rep said NO not available right now..I asked for it and said clearly NO HARD INQ, she said oh no we dont do Hards for this....OF course HARD showed on EXP later in the day....I may be closing mine too..Now I never like calling Citi, Chase, MBNA, Amex they might just pull a Hard for calling....Again and again, they have done it to me....maybe it just me...good luck!!!..

    I called a couple of months ago and my rate was lowered from 9.99 to 6.9% no inquires. One month later I called again to ask for a bal transfer rate. and they offered 0% for 9 months. Chase has been great for me. No problems ever!!

    George: The next on your list should be MBNA. So you won´t have to worry about the 10+ years without increases!!.

    funny thing is with discover they would probably sue over the 2 cents if you owed it. I would turn it over to a collection agency to handle.

    No offense George, but I highly doubt the 7-figure executives at Chase Manhatten will take note of 1 of its 10,000,000 card holders forcing them to mail statements for $1.00.

    Make your credit balance $1.01. I believe they are required to send you a bill if your balance is over |1.00|.

    Well, heck, they are having to sue the insurance company that had the bond for the millions they loaned Enron - they don't want to wait - so they have to get it from you!!

    Too bad you're not senators with bad credit - you would probably get better deals.
