Does anyone have an idea how long after you have a Chase card that you get an automatic increase that you did not have to apply for (I don't like hard inquiries)? Their website says they review your account after six months for an automatic increase, if warranted. Is this true, in reality? Or do you have to call them and request it? Also, what percentage increase can you expect, on average?

I have had the Chase Perfectcard, with a $10,000 limit, since May. I am always current.

They may give you automatic increase but don't expect more than $1000. If you need real increase like $5000- $10000 then you have to apply for it and they will pull hard inquiry.
