Chase "go to" APR: 9.9%

    I've verified today that the permanent Chase APR can be lowered to 9.9%. I now have it in writing.

    They won't make you this offer unless you call and persistently ask for it.

    If they're offering you a temporary promo APR, do not accept until they've adjusted your permanent (non-promo) APR.

    Thanks, Saar I'll remember that, I emailed them to have apr lowered and they responded with your still in your intro rate of 2.99%. My go to rate is 16%.

    Do you have a plat or classic? Mindy, do you have a classic card?

    Mine is classic, and I have the 2.99 APR on BT and Purchases for the first 6 months? I wonder if they will lower a classic card?

    Terry, yes I have the classic card, applied for platinum but got the classic.

    Platinum, though I'm sure APR terms for the Classic can be negotiated too.
