Called for status....DENIED!!!!!! They pulled TU, score was 746! They said I have excellent credit but that my score simply was not high enough!!! WTF?? I said, how high does it have to be? She said that she can't disclose that. Said that I am a high risk app b/c I applied "cold" online. Said that had I been responding to an offer I would most likely be approved w/o question. I asked for reconsider and she said, sure I'll fax you out a new app!!! HUH?
Do you have other cards with Chase. Dh did. He applied cold online and was approved. Score was around the same as yours.
You might try a personal card with them first. How long have you been in business. Dh has been in biz for 10 years. The Chase Cashback has 12 mos at 0% right now and can be put directly in bank account.
Thanks, I applied for the Chase Perfectcard this morning and it states "in progress" on the online staus check utility. This way I can see if maybe I am really "blacklisted" totally from Chase and they are just making up stupid reasons to deny even though blacklist is the real reason (had an IIB account with Chase a decade ago...maybe they never forget!) The same was true of BOA (IIB acct as well), but they approved me online for $10K. Maybe Chase has different policies...
Good luck, maybe they will have a short memory. I believe it is harder to get business card and only give 1 per biz. They give unlimited personal cards. My dh has 3.
