Chase is transfering all Stockback cards to the Perfectcard. As I don't need the gas rewards would it be better to request the Ultimate Rewards card? What happens exactly when a card is 'transferred'? Would I still be entitled to the 3 months left at my intro APR? I have to give Chase a call because I'm also concerned about the few bucks I earned so far that was to go into the Stockback fund. I've been charging/paying down this card for all everyday purchases to get the flat 1% for my stockback mutual fund. I'm pissed.
It was mentioned that the STOCK BACK card was all but USELESS anyway for "PLAYING THE STOCK MARKET" I DUMPED CHASE...SO I WOULD NOT KNOW WHICH CARD TO GET WITH-OUT DOING RESEARCH... You could look here...that is a good place for RESEARCH... http://www.cardoffers.com/ Card Categories Reward Cards Category Specific Selected Cards Card Issuers View by Ratings Alphabetical Search
I'd pick the Perfectcard because the rebates are automatically credited towards your next month's bill, no need to redeem anything. You also get 1% back on all non gas purchases.
Thanks for the info. It seems as if Stockback cardholders do not have a choice. A Chase rep told me that it will happen automatically and that the Ult. Rewards card isn't a option because its a "new card on the market." New card. New card #. A hit to FICO because of the new account. Great.
Re: Re: Chase Perfectcard or Ult. Rewards They "MAY" just change your account number as it reports on your credit report... 5288-2589-2588-XXXX OPEN 01/2001 TO 5289-2598-1000-XXXX OPEN 01/2001 YOU "MAY" ONLY HAVE ONE SHOW
Re: Re: Chase Perfectcard or Ult. Rewards This is really strange because just a couple of months ago I actually traded my Stockback card for the Perfectcard. I do use the new card a lot as opposed to the Stockback which had months of no activity. I hope I didn't start the trend here. BTW after trading, the 3 year history did transfer over to the new card.
