What are the Chase requirements? Do they have the same requirements for the Chase Walmart or Toys R Us cards. Do they offer a secured card?

Chase offer secured card. They approved secured card if you don't have any collection or charge-off accounts in your credit report.

I can tell you that Chase pulls TU almost exclusively. If you have ANY negs no matter big or small will yeild instant denial. I went through manual review in October. I was approved for a classic 6K limit.

    Terri,
What was their reason for denying you? They denied me on the basis of
1.Ratio of revolving accounts too high ie I owe too much on my car given how long I have been in the loan and Cap One does not report credit limits therefore the high credit of $39 and balance of $33 looks extreme
    2. Average length of time since accounts opened ie Cap One account is too new, I guess (opened in 8/2001, car loan opened 11/00).

Do you think that I have a chance at them reconsidering this?

    Thanks.

If they said revolving ratios too high, I don't think that would include your car loan as that is an installment loan.
If you think that is the only reason though, I'd just call them and explain the cap1 situation.
