I was hoping I could get some information from everyone. Apparently Chase thought that I had an account with them several years ago, 1996 or so. As a result, they have been making monthly account review inquiries on my credit (Experian), even though the account has been paid off and is no longer on their system. I am curious if anyone has closed a Chase account and are still experiencing account review inquiries. If you would like some fun reading, take a look at my story: http://creditforum.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=527 I first had to fight them to remove the account from my credit reports, now I'm fighting with them about the inquiries. This has been going on for over a year now.
That's what I thought too George. Apparently every time I send something to Chase about it, they pull my credit again. My last letter even specifically said, I am not giving you permission to pull my credit, but they did it any way. I gave them until March 31, haven't heard anything from them yet. I've given all the information to an attorney, but that was just this week. I'm planning on talking to them on Monday to see where we can go.
Monogram CC Bank's pockets are a little lighter after pulling AR's on me for a closed and paid account.
