I just got a solicitation for a Chase Visa. I don't need it- just got the Citibank AA. Question- is Chase deserving of pennies in the return envelop?
Citibank AA is a prime card, right? How long should you wait before applying for a prime card (considering no lates, overlimits, etc.) if you have a sub prime card??
S.D. I had terrible credit in 3/00. I got my collections paid and cleaned up a bit in 4/00. Then I got subprime cards like providian (4/00), orchard (4/00), cap1 (11/99). I got Chase in 8/00 and in 9/00 I got Citi silver and gold. So from 4/00 to 8/00 after have no recent lates or collections (my newest late/collection was 4/99 at that point) I got 2 very nice cards. how long?? I don't know. I have '95 paid charge off and paid collection. I had a settled (less than full amount) charge off that just dropped off a few months ago- it was poison. Paid is much better than settled. I've had sub prime cards since '97.
