Hi, I have been trying to log into chat the past two nights and cannot. Everything comes up and I am able to see who else is in chat, but when I type nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong? Chat is pretty new to me. FYI: I using Windows 98, and tried logging in under Internet Explorer, as well as, Netscape Communicator 4.77. Thanks Dani
Hello Dani, Is this a new problem or have you never been able to chat? The chat software we use requires a Java-capable browser. Since you are able to see other members logged into chat we can assume your browser supports Java. Do you see a short but wide rectanglular area between the message window in the middle and the banner at the bottom? If so that is where you type your message. If not, please let me know as that would indicate a problem. Sincerely, pbm
I have been able to chat before, but I haven't tried it for many months. In answer to your question there is not a short, wide box between the message window and the banner. It goes directly from the message window to the banner, but as I said before I am able to see everyone who is in chat, but I can't type (but I can see what they type). Thanks. Dani
Dani, Without that short but wide box you will be unable to post since that is the area where you enter your chat message. I will look into thisâ??perhaps making the window taller will help. I will look into this and post here accordingly. Thanks for your patience. Sincerely, pbm
Dani, I've made a small change, please try chat again at your leisure and let me know whether this fixes the problem (the message area and banner should no longer be "touching.") Let me know either way. Thanks, pbm
PBM, Hi. I am still having the same problem. I can see the board and whomever types/names, but it goes straight to the banner below it. There is no in between box. Thanks, Dani
