I just got my Discover card in the mail a few weeks ago and applied online with balance transfers. I was immediately accepted. Try calling them at 1-800-discover and see if they can give him a status. I don't believe you can view a status online. They do have online statements, payments, transfers, etc...on their website www.discovercard.com Did you try looking on their website?
