    Yet another newbie question:

How do people on this board check credit reports and scores? I see that many people know what their reports say on a weekly or even daily basis. Surely they are not paying $9 to every CRA weekly.

Also, I only have the credit score reported by equifax. How do people get the other credit "scores"?

It is sad that Transunion www.transunion.com doesn't have a subscription service like Equifax and Experian.

You can order a report from them with a score.

Be careful when answering Transunion's questions, because from some of the posts, they are shutting out people who are answering questions correctly.

    Good luck.

After 3 successful online reports (1 free), I was blocked this last time. TU's questions are meant to trip you up...
    1. Your bureau shows that you obtained an installment loan with Arcadia 5/2002. The loan amount is:
    a-c...d none of the above

    2. Your bureau shows a mortgage opened 8/98. Who is this mortgage with?
a-c d none of the above

    3. Your bureau shows an auto installment loan. What is the payment?
    a. 100-200
    b. 189-259
    c. 295-358
    d. none of the above

first I had a heart attack. Notice that it states "Your bureau shows...." All I could think was OMG! They messed me up further!!!!! The first 2 aren't right!!!!

I answered d., d. then c. Ooops can't identify me! Crap! Worried I bought the true credit TU report. Oh, mercy me!!!! My auto installment loan is 359! So sue me for a buck!

    What a crock!!!!
