I got my new Chevron statement, and they had precipitously raised my credit limit from $300 to $1000. A mistake, perhaps? I got the card in July 2000, almost 3 years ago. I didn't use it for a year after that, then ran up a small balance. I paid it off completely last fall, gave it a rest, and then used it twice in March and 6 times in April. I think paying it off completely helped a lot.
