As some of you know, I was turned down for a Chevron credit card last week. Today, I called and requested to be given a "credit builder" card.

I was rejected again. Chevron policy is no card until 5 years have passed since filing for a BK.

my bk was filed in 92 and they still denied me. I think the puter automatically rejects when they see bk.

BTW, I only applied cuz creditmania says they pull Experian (no bk on Experian) Well they pulled Equifax

So Count me in on that new list!

    Thanks Kelly

I agree that it is very likely that the computer automatically rejects when it sees a BK.

I think the 5 year policy comes up only when a rejected customer locates the Chevron customer service number (not on the rejection letter) and calls to complain.

They pulled Equifax on me also. I live in Santa Clara, CA.
