Chevron card holders, I was just wondering how long it took for your card to make its way to the credit reports. I got my card almost a month ago, and it is still not showing.
Give them about 3 billing periods and it should show on your CR,, if not, call Chevron and ask them to kindly report it to the CRAs for ya.
It was around a month or two before it began reported for me. Also they are a month behind in reporting. Say you paid your balance of $77 in feburary, in March when they update with the CRA's your balance will show as $77. It's pretty weird... They also don't report the credit limit, just high balance. I once called their "Credit desk" and asked them to report the actual limit. They were VERY NICE and said he'd do everything he could to make that happen and get the UDF's out. However it never did happen..at least he tried though!
They reported my limit on TU only. Exp and Eqf only show the high credit. When they do that, and it shows your balance the same as high credit, your score suffers. I lost about 12 pts because of that. I pd it and haven't used it since. I don't need to use a gas card for gas if that's the way they are going to do things. Be glad it isn't reporting yet. I don't know if you are able to pay online more than once a statement period, but if so, I would suggest paying it often if you are going to use it.
I use my card monthly, and pay it off monthly. Anytime I've needed to call Chevron they have been super nice. Perhaps a call to the credit desk will actually get your limit reported to the CRA's. I, am actually happy they were nice when I called and really tried to accomodate me. But perhaps I'll call and ask again shortly.....
I've read elsewhere on this board (and others) that once you call and are very insistent, they will eventually report your CL.
