I have been on the Chevron "credit builder" for almost three years, I have never been late (until last month) and have always paid my balance in full. I have NEVER gotten an increase. Last month I made a mistake when I paid the online bill and forgot to hit submit, they called me the day it was due and I did a check by phone for the full balance, well I open my bill this month and they raised my credit line from $200 to $600...pretty weird...just thought I would share...
They are supposed to "watch" credit builder accounts more closely and keep you in line. They called me at work (kinda through me off guard) while talking to the rep she did acknowledge my perfect payment history and stated they were "concerned" they hadnt received my payment yet.
Chevron is weird. I've been on the Credit Builders program for 2 years now. I got a letter one day instructing me to call them ASAP! I didn't know what was going on. I called and they said that I was "Dangerously close to my limit"! :-| Whatever...I haven't received an increase either and I pay my balance almost in full every month.
