Is there a way to dispute Chexsystems (SP?)? I have had it deleted from my CR, but I want to dispute it with them. I called and told this bank to close my account, with a positive balance, and they charged me monthly charges for a couple of years I guess. I didn't get the statements because I'd moved. Yes you can dispute on Chex. Order a copy of your report on their website and then send them a dispute letter. I was able to get my Chex Systems listing deleted this way.
I called the bank a few days ago and they said that it is their policy not to close an account over the phone. They said that you have to actually go INTO the bank and close the account.
