I sent in a dispute letter to Equifax (CRRR) during the CHOD period last year (11/22/04), and received my green card back with a date/signature stamp of 11/29/04. I received nothing back from Equifax regarding my dispute. I sent them a second letter (CRRR) demanding that they remove the items I disputed. My question is - has anyone had this type of experience with Equifax? If so, was the demand to remove disputed items successful? Any info would be appreciated -- thanks!

I have to update this... Equifax received my follow-up letter regarding my first dispute on 1/5/05...I called them this afternoon to find out what was going on with my disputes.. The CSR told me that Equifax did not begin the dispute until 1/7/05. I told the CSR that I would be passing this information on to the FTC, then I ended the conversation. PLEASE---someone, what are the next steps to be taken? I know they have violated the FCRA. How do I begin involving the FTC? Who else should I involve? ANY help would be appreciated!! Thanks!
