CHOD RESULTS !Chap. 7 gone from EQ! My chapter 7 has finally gone on to glory... 6 months early. EQ is completely clean...well the inquiries are another story. It is completely gone from all 3 of the major CRA's. A tax lien on EX is my only public record. Finally! Will be posting my credit story/stats sometime soon. I am nearing the end of the repair part of the journey. cariba
Re: CHOD RESULTS !Chap. 7 gone from EQ! Congrats. Just curious, did you dispute the bk7 or did it just fall off? If you did dispute it, how did you dispute it, ie: not mine, etc.
Re: CHOD RESULTS !Chap. 7 gone from EQ! INACCURATE INFO. No, it did not fall off. This was my last try--I was going to leave it alone since it was due to come off July this year. I think the BK ct got tired of getting letters from all 3 CRA's every month and having to fill out forms! That is basically what I said. It was mine, but it was not 100% accurate.

I am still in the process of trying to get the CRA's to drop this thing (BK) eight months early and so far none will budge. The amount is incorrect on all three and that is what I am trying to use to get them to delete the darn thing. Trans Union is the one that will not let my tax lien go away and for now I have stop requesting. Luckily Experian and Eq let the released lien go away over a year ago. I have only had two application absolute declines after the fifth year of my BK, so the BK really does not cause me too many problems. I would always ask for reconsideration because I have had a mortgage for the past five years and I could point to that ask my restablished credit. With your BK having passed it's ninth birthday, how did the deletion affect your scores? Thanks KK
Re: CHOD RESULTS !Chap. 7 gone from KK, I am waiting before I pull my scores because EQ does not automatically update the score right away. I am sure that it is not going to have that much weight because it is so old, but then again, it is a public record, and they can really weigh your score down. I know that the results were due to the holiday disputing when everyone was out. In 30 days I also managed to clean up my mom's EQ and EX, too! cariba
Re: CHOD RESULTS !Chap. 7 gone from A few days before the BK came off, I called EQ to check status, and the rep I spoke with was trying to find out what was inaccurate. I just kept repeating inaccurate info. Not my job to tell them what is wrong. cariba
Re: CHOD RESULTS !Chap. 7 gone from KK, I spoke too soon. On 12/01/01 my score was a 697. With the removal of a 9 1/2 year old bankruptcy, it went up to: 758!!!!!!! I can't believe it. I'm in the 700 club! I really did not think, that given the age of the bankruptcy, that it mattered that much, but apparently it does to the tune of 61 points!! cariba

Re: CHOD RESULTS !Chap. 7 gone from OH mine was like almost a year ago And my Equifax is still at 475, so can you imagine when I started? However, I have my file in Consumer Affairs hands now and they seem to be gettin' busy!!

I actually have a residential mortgage report from 1/29/01. This one says: Experian 529 TransUnion 602 Equifax 642 (which differs from the 628 I got online in March or April thru EQ's website) Now I am at: EX 666 (CreditExpert) EQ 758 TU 683 (awaiting update--paid collection removed via CHOD) I have a credit union that I will probably have to settle with because they continue to verify. I still have a tax lien on EX, 2 chargeoffs, and a paid collection. I only got 2 points for the BK removal on EX! cariba
Re: CHOD RESULTS !Chap. 7 gone from Cariba, If I get my BK off early or if the CRA's delete soon, I hope my Experian gets a big boost as your Equifax score did. It seems like all (one exception) of the credit that I have applied for in the past fifteen months has an inquiry on Experian. I am currently at 694 on EX and with increased age ( a few months) and no other negatives, I hope to get over the 725 mark when the BK is gone. Even with the BK, Equifax is always over 710 so I am already in the 700's for that one. Thanks KK
