Hey gang I was just wondering how all of you guys did with your CHOD disputes this year? Last year I had very little success so this year I decided to send them later and see if I have better luck.

No changes .... I'm down to just a couple negatives but the Big 3 procssed my disputes pretty quickly. I'm not sure CHOD is as successful as it use to be. The CRAs have probably added more coverage to handle more disputes.

I think they've gotten better at discarding, or not acting upon, the majority of disputes.

However, I did luck out in not getting one tax lien verified in Federal district court, so I quickly disputed one other in the same court. Hoping for additional holiday cheer!

    Hi,

This CHOD was amazingly successful for me (I still cant believe it)

I dropped 4 baddies off all three reports so far bringing me to only one badie on most of my reports.

You know the funny part about it? - I hardly put any effort into it at all this time, as I did most of my disputing online.

I hope all of you did as well as I did.

I got an unpaid chargeoff deleted from TU, of course then Experian retaliated by reaging it...

I've still got one dispute pending. This is an ongoing nightmare, just continuing the paper trail.

First dispute - HHld showing 95% utilization, which was paid off. They updated it to currently 120 days past due...

2nd dispute - They reduced it to not more than 4 payments past due

3rd dispute - sent in my bills showing it wasn't, its still pending until the 19th.

This is my final dispute regardless of the outcome...gonna get ugly.

Hey Jodi, been missin ya around here.

New job's ok we hope. :)

Sometimes that last sucker does get ugli.
Isn't it ironic that's the biggest score booster and the one most worth fighting for.

Hang in there Jodi. It's worth it!!!

    :)

Hey Butch, the new job is OK, but an hour drive each way. DH just got word he will be spending extended periods in MX, so I am considering retiring, still have two young uns at home. He was gone for two weeks and I felt like I ran non-stop from 5 am till 11pm, and some things just aren't worth it :)

This isn't my last baddie, I wish, but I also have HHld on No PP, so I'm just building my case.

8 for 11, leaving one on each report, but EX and EQ failed to respond at all to the items that remain on their reports, giving me the opportunity to demand immediate deletion. TU's last remaining paid MN tax lien ... I'm going to attack with a procedure request and with luck Ramsey County (Minneapolis) will send me a document that says "we don't report to TU".

    Hi flacorps,

The same thing happened to me - I disputed 5 items in the same letter but they only placed the 4 in dispute.

Any ideas how I could force them to delete that last one - I would give anything to see it go bye bye.

I know you mentioned something about a procedural request - could you please expand on that?

    Thanks again,
    Sal

    Re: Re: Re: Chod

You don't need a procedural request...they didn't do anything. Did you send the letter certified mail? If so you need to write them a letter and tell them it has been more than 30 days and you are demanding immediate deletion.

    jlynn,

    Thanks for the reply!

Yes, I sent the letter CRRR (all disputes were on that one letter) Do you suppose I could actually just email an experian contact and demand deletion?

At this point I can care less how pissed off I get them because this is my last baddie, and I wont need to deal with them anymore.

    Thanks,
    Sal

I don't recommend email, I like the old-fashioned, albeit expensive CMRRR way. Especially with Experian - they aren't going to make this easy.

I have started with all disputes, 1 dispute , 1 letter. then I e-mail,fax,regular letter and CMRRR. They get each dispute 4 times in various fashions, Hard to say they never received it. I know that is probably but I am learning the need to document everything.
Even when I dispute on line through the websites I print out my disputed do the same, that way they get it 5 times.
