I am looking to buy one of the merged credit reports, looking for an old debt that I am willing to settle for deletion with Cingular Wireless. What is the best company to ask for the merged credit report? Is it worth it? Advantages and disadvantages?
The merged report is only going to save you a couple of bucks over three individual reports. Everyone here recommends getting all 3 separately. I believe its because sometimes their information is not the most up to date current.
Get them separately. I use Privacy Guard and they don't seem to be reporting quite the same information as the CRAs. If you will attempt to settle a debt, then you need all the information you can put your hands on. Dish out the extra dollars and get the full reports directly from the CRAs. PawMix
