We owe 2200 on this CC account. they have been calling EVERY day, and now every day to my husbands office....often, by another person the next day! They have told him that this is a secured credit card, and if something is not done by april 17, garnishments will be taken out of his paycheck. can they be this harassing???? We are meeting monday with an attorney...to discuss options... we have been waiting for the three months to get settlements, but ????
yes, first, turn on your phone recorder and call them. when they get on the phone ask them Is this phone call being recorded? they will respond yes then say this phone call is being recorded as if restating their call. Then Inform them their calls to your work place are interferring with your perfomance and you are directly at risk of losing the job as a result. at this point, you have an offical record and can even goad them into making statements that vioate your rights - then sue em
Have they sued you and gotten a judgment against you? If not, they can't just garnish your wages. Secondly, if this is a secured card, what is the problem. Tell them to take what you owe out of the security deposit.
no, they have not sued us or taken judgement yet...they said we had until the 17th of april...which i assume is the "charge off" day. amazing how a 2K card will harass you every day, and a 20K, doesn't say a word...yet!
