Why SIX long years? I guess I don't know your story.

I would love a Circuit City card, not necessarily the Visa but just the store card and I would love at least a $2000 CL but I'm afraid to apply.

My BK is two years old, I have re-established credit with Cap1 (two cards), Orchard, Dillards, and Exxon/Mobile.

Don't know my scores as I haven't checked in a while. I'd say mid to low 600s.

    WOW. Congrats.

I know how it is. I am hoping to get approved for a $5 CL limit card at 7-11 some day here.

I have lived without Credit for around 6 years. I am glad I found sites like this because I learned that old crap can be removed.

Got my scores up to the mid 500's finally and am hoping to see 600 one of these days.

Also found some plain wrong data too.

God, I would take even a damn kmart card if they had one. Just want to hold some credit I did not secure.

    Good luck!

    Liber_Tea ,

Have you tried something like Target or Wal*Mart? They both offer store cards.

By the way, I love your name!!

Circuit City only offers the Visa card now the guy told me today in the store no store cards.

I'm going tomorrow to try for Target then I think I will be happy for a while.

Will post once I get home wish me luck from what I under stand over 650 should get Target, Bk 6 years old.

Even the guest card would be ok.

    FNANB

I don't know if FLEET bought it...

I thought FLEET was going to buy the STORE CARDS...but "IF" they were DISCONTINUED...maybe this is a FLEET CARD...

Says apply IN THE STORE...I guess nothing is going to be done ON-LINE (kinda' weird)

Your both wrong. Fleet is buying FNANB, a bank owned by Circuit City. The Circuit City store card is being discontinued I believe.

So, Fleet bought FNANB, but Circuit City is keeping the co-brand Circuit City VISA card. Everyone else that has a FNANB card with the FNANB logo on it has been sold to Fleet. Not sure what Fleet will do with it, bet we'll see

According to FleetBoston press release, the credit card portfolio purchased includes Visa and Mastercard. Read the following link:

...AND BofA is now merging with FLEET...so it will be BofA

Well, I have the Circuit City card and have gotten NO notices as to it being discontinued.

Seems odd since they just gave me a CL increase a month ago!

I Read the press release about fleet buying Circuit City cards(FNANB) and Bof A is buying fleet, and as I understand BofA is very BK unfriendly, will I loose my card when the merger goes through? or will it convert to BOFA and I will be in the door? just curious
