Hey all you foxy credit builders!! I got my cards and combined today!!! Wheeeeeeee!!! Check me out, hubba hubba! tapity tapity tapity!!! Although, the lady told me she could combine to a gold world card?? I was too paranoid to ask for platinum...was that stupid? I don't care though, annual fee schmanual schmee. You know, I felt like I was doing something bad. Isn't that insane? I'm agreeing to pay them 50 bux for the pleasure of paying them 14 % interest....and I feel like I'm about to get caught w/ my hand in the cookie jar! (Disclaimer: the above virtual tapdance should in no way be considered or construed as a happy dance of joy.)
Re: citbank combined---elated paran WAY TO GO! Call them back in a week or two (or now) and upgrade to Platinum Select with no annual fee. I'll bet they'll do it. What's the worst thing they'll do -- cancel your card??? -- not. Psych "Foxy Credit Builder" Doc
Re: citbank combined---elated paran I ended up having to combine into my gold--then to a Plat. Select WORLD. I plan to call next week to get my Plat. Select. I think it all depends on the particular rep you get. Don't be afraid to use PFB--I did that to get a balance transfer offer after getting a whiny song and dance from 3 different CSRs about it. cariba

I have the same paranoia, I am curious as to what you say when you call. Since I have never gotten the opportunity to combine I am afraid I may get the big denied for using a "wrong" approach. Do you just say "hey, can you upgrade these cards to "x" card" or do you ask for a better rate, lower apr, no annual fee, etc and let the customer service rep recommend a card?
Hay no paranoia to worry about, i've changed from AA to Platinum then combined in a month. Got two cards in 2 weeks... no b/s they'll do whatever you want.
