Hey guys I am a citi customer. I just called them (11/5 6:22pm EST) and asked about 3.9% on Purchase APR. She said there is no offer like that. Simply because the lowest APR on Purchases one could have is Prime. Now, there is a 3.9% Transfer APR available. I am not sure if I worded it wrong, but she said there were no other cards out there (citi that is) with lower APRs than mine, which I do find hard to believe. I think they are trained to not give you a direct answer. Let me know what you think.
ahh, you gotta love TiVo. Saw the commerical. it is 3.9% APR on pruchase and balance transfers. The card? Citi Diamond Preferred Card. Gook luck!

Re: Re: Citi 3.9% Fixed????!!!! Huh??? Ok, just called Citi and IT IS REAL! It is a 3.9% VARIABLE RATE FOR PURCHASES AND BT's - PRIME - 0.01% the rep said and it is a Citi Diamond Preferred Card. I tried to get it but they insist that the offer is available only to new applicants even though I just opened my PS account 3 weeks ago! They said they can convert me in a minute to the Diamond Preferred card BUT cannot give me that rate as it is only offered as a new account. They said my rate would go to the standard rate for that card which is 9.99 variable so I stayed put for now...but I am not giving up!

I'm sorry the CSR you talked to wasn't to sharp =) Anyways, this offer is by commercial reply ONLY... There is a special phone number in the commercial to call and apply. If you miss it, just call customer service and ask them for the number. I will try to get it on Monday when I go to work. Retention, Citibank general applications number.. none of them have it available to them.
