Nine days ago, I applied online for the Citi AA Silver and then immediately for the AA Gold. On both, I got the message that they would let me know by mail. I have had a Citi Platinum for about two years. Today, I got the letter for the Gold, denying me. The reason given was that they said that they can only allow one application per solicitation and that their records show that I had already responded to the solicitation. I have never applied for a Citi card other than for the Platinum two years ago. And, this was not a result of a Citi solicitation. I just went to their web site and applied. Does anyone have a clue what this means? What do I do now? Any help is appreciated.
Karen, I received a letter from Sears and they denied my credit limit increase because it is too short time from last time increase. They increase my Sears Card limit increase last week. How do you explain these??? Denied or approved for increase???? Ron.
So. What do I do? Call? Wait a few days to see if anything shows up? If I call, who do I call? Thanks.
Is there a particular number? There was nothing in the letter. I want to talk to someone who can help. Thanks
