Just tried to apply online and couldn't find any place to apply for this card. Called Citi, and the rep told me that she was pretty sure they didn't offer it anymore. She then said, why would you want that card when you could get a World card with better benefits. I said, isn't the qualifications higher for the world card? She says, "not at all". I'm not buying it. Anyway, if anyone knows the the above is not the case, let me know. Matt

citi's application servers, err, well suck. They are uber bogged down and crash ALL the time. keep trying.
I just called them again, no longer accepting applications for silver or gold. Any other products of theirs I should try with 689 beacon?
I was just accepted for these cards last week. Hope this doesn't affect them. I haven't heard anything from them. The acceptance page said they would send me an electronic disclosure page and then I would be able to access accounts before cards arrived. Haven't heard anything in 8 days.
I suggest you do not ask the Credit Representatives again, just apply online for the Aadvantage or Gold AA. Regarding the World AA, Citibank does not report limit for this card (World) to the Cr Bureaus.
I tried to apply online, you can't. When you click on apply, the page doesn't load. I called customer service after that to see why, thats when they told me "no more AAdvantage silver or gold".
It might be that the servers for just those 2 are down. Try again later. update, the apps are working again. Try now....

It was fine Sunday. I applied for the AA silver and i got the " we'll notify you at the address you provided as soon as the application is processed." message.
This is what I posted about a few days ago.. My girlfriend just got a citi AA silver 3500 cl and a Citi AA gold yesterday 6000cl..with low 600 scores and I got one the night before mid 600s.... The card is still there its just the server is messed up with tech issues.. kev
did you get instant approvals online??? Yeah I think now it is a server issue. Interesting though that customer service told me twice that they no longer offered the product??? Crazy World, I am going to give it a shot with a 689 beacon with one chargeoff from 97 ($150 balance, which is in dispute). Wish me luck folks, I will post results. Matt
Keep trying the link. I just pulled it up and it came up right away for silver. Also, I just got a Citi Gold app (unsolicited) in the mail today, so I think maybe those CR reps you spoke to are blowing smoke.
Yeah Intsant approval online... they pulled EX for me in California 653 fico and TU for my girl friend Last time I checked a few months ago it was 617.. The people that work I citi are scary how little they know ask for a super.. the make up answers to get you off the phone.. Kev
