Hi, Question: when you fill out the online application are you supposed to get an instant response or do they normally contact you later? -Sal
It really depends. I got one that was approved onlien and the other said it would contact me by mail.
I've been approved for 7-8 citibank cards, never once instant approval. If you don't get instant approval, give it about 5 business days, then call the # and pretend its been a few weeks (my how time flies by?). If its not instantly approved, they will probably hand approve it and if you see a second inquiry pulled, then immediately call, as the decision has been made.
Sam, Thanks for the info, looks like your the citi expert around these parts So whats up with this "instant decision" baloney? -Sal
i got an instant approval a few times.. it was so nice to see.. the others i got the we will contact you at the address you provided BS i have never been turned down.. i just tried the BDD yesterday again...soo we will see kev
Update: I applied yesterday online. But after just looking at all three CR I found NO inquiries have been pulled, whats up with that? -Sal
I've seen you all talking about the BDD lately, and I don't want to feel stupid since I've been here since last July, but what does it stand for and if denied for a card, how do you go about doing the process? Once again, hopefully you guys don't laugh at me for asking this (lol).
SHORT VERSION... I could NOT get PLATINUM SELECT by applying on the phone, by mail, on-line...even so-called "PRE-APPROVED"... Somebody here had luck with AASILVER+AAGOLD at the same time 5 min. apart then COMBINE for PLATINUM SELECT. IF DONE AT THE SAME TIME, IT IS USUALLY ONLY ONE INQUIRY!!! I COULDN'T GET IN THE FRONT DOOR~~~I HAD TO USE THE BACK DOOR~~~BDD (BACK DOOR DOUBLE)... More questions, do a search...1,000+ posts (probably)
Update: I just today noticed a Citicards inquiry on my equifax for the Citi card I applied for earlier this week. -Sal
