Some friends are over and I'm showing them the posts about the BDD. They can't believe it but they are interested in getting the AAdvantage gold due to their upcoming honeymoon (they're planning on London). Since he has stronger credit, he wants to know if approved for either card, can he add his fiancee on as an AU since she probably would not qualify on her own? If so, would she be able to have her card point to her AA miles account? If not, I guess he could buy both their tickets on his card.
When he applies towards the end of the app, it says would you like an additional card "enter her name". If they are NOT married yet, he still may want to enter her married name. The Cra's match up AU's by last name and address. I'm not sure if some do it by just last name or just address.
so then does that mean they would pull her credit report? she mentioned something about messing up with Citi back in college many years ago and I noticed the talk about the blacklist. I don't know if that would have any bearing on whether they approve him or not. Maybe add her after he's approved? He's coming by in the morning for carpool and will apply then. heh heh BTW her married name will be her current name...where she's from, her family is, uh, well known (dating back to the pilgrims or some such thing)
Nope, they don't even ask for a SSN# for the "additional card" AKA "AU". Trust me, I just got my CitiAA card and I put hubby down too (515 TU score) and they never pulled his report and they sent his card at the same time. Although mine IS reporting already (12/26/01 approval) it's not on his yet. Probably about 3 months (just guessing). I also put hubby on as an AU on my Providian acct. it didn't start reporting until I actually got him an actual CARD, and he had a charge off with them 7/01.
