Re: Re: Citi bought Sears' card business I heard it on the radio today but hadn't had a chance to check it out. I thought I should check it out before I posted it. I don't think they'll change account numbers, at least not now. I've had accounts sold from one bank to another before, and they usually carry the history and just pick up the new name. I'm sure they'll still be Sears cards, which is why they said it will be transparent to cardholders. Citi has the Citgo cards, but I'm sure they haven't always been Citi. I couldn't tell you when it changed, though. I think this will be the same. I hope they keep giving some 0% promotions. I just paid off my Sears MC and need to buy a dishwasher and refrigerator. I was sort of waiting for the next 0%. I guess I'll just have to wait a few months and see what happens.
Re: Re: Citi bought Sears' card business WHAT DOES DISCOVERCARD HAVE TO DO WITH A SEARS DEAL??? SEARS SOLD DISCOVERCARD TO NOVUS YEARS AGO...
Re: Re: Citi bought Sears' card business It says in my LOCAL PAPER...it won't be a done deal till "YEAR END" YOU better call or write EXPERIAN...
Re: Re: Re: Citi bought Sears' card business There is a 0.00% deal almost every week... My DRYER is 0.00% till JUNE 2004 I want a WASHER...FREEZER (ONLY)...AND A NEW REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER IT MUST BE 0.00% TILL JUNE/JULY 2004 OR LATER!!!
Sears did not sell Discover to Novus. Novus is just another brand name for Discover. Sears sold Discover and Novus, along with Dean Witter, in a public offering. Then later, Morgan Stanley came along and bought the public company.
