Anyone know how long it takes Citi to do a BT?? I think I recall them mailing out checks, since it requested mailing address when doing the BT??

    Thanks

The last one I did took about 7 calendar days to post;not sure if they are using EFT now or not.

(Discover posts 1-2 business days....they use EFT).

    Thank you Sister:)

Yes as I remember Citi is slow, Amex is slower and Chase is in the stone age.

    Discover was extremely quick.

    Hey Mom :)

    How's it going?

My experience with Chase has been awesome. My Chase BTs were processed faster than with the other two you mentioned. When did you last try Chase?

Best of all: Chase won't post it to your account until the other creditor actually gets the money. With other lenders (not all), your account starts accruing interest from the day they cut the check.

Hey Saar, all is well thanks:)

I haven't used chase BT online for a few months, we first used with when hubby initially got approved, so maybe that was the hold up.

I did use chase recently, however they sent checks that I could deposit and still get the BT rates, I love Citi and chase for that feature:)

citi does indeed EFT. Matter of fact almost every BT i've done was EFT.

Citi eft'd my amex balance in less than 7 days.

    Mom,

I don't which Citi card you have, but the Platinum Select is offering 0%, no BT fees until June 2003 (not sure if it only applies to new customers or not).

I think it depends upon the creditor you are BT to... some they can handle eletronic but some are still checks... BTW, even if it's electronic, it can take some time for the creditor to process... I've done 4 and all were handled within 5 business days...

    Hope this helps...

Thanks Dani, not sure if that rate is for new accounts or not, but regardless they aren't offering me squat LOL. Thye have sent hubby 3 offers in mail, 2 emails and 2 phone calls, I on the other hand can't get the time of day, however I used his BT for my accounts, so I got it anyway, take that citibank Ha!!

Just a follow up, they did use EFT with Amex atleast, it posted in 3 days, still nothing yet on discover.

    Thanks also Sam and Kev:)
