We (wife and I) had a Drivers Edge Platinum card. Always paid on time open since 96. Applied last year for the Upromise card. Denied, "you have enough credit!!" Got hooked on this board. Got the idea to call them directly. They just switched my drivers edge to the upromise card. Had some BT that were good, those all stayed at same rate. Bonus was going from a +16% Apr to 10.5% Apr. I assume that you want to switch credit from one card to another (both citibank) I would imagine if you are in good standing they would do that for you. Might even be able to combine cards. Let us know.
There is not necesary. You can request a check in your name at the bal transfer offer rate and deposit it on to your checking account. Then pay the other citibank card with that money. They just sent me a $9,500 check in my name at 3.9% until paid, No bal transfer fee.
