I got an email from Citi asking me to apply for a Platinum Select Mastercard. In the email is the application. It says I will know in 30 seconds. Yeah right. I discharged a Citi card in '97 as part of my BK. I will be turned down in 30 seconds. I think this is stupid offer to me. Has anyone else got one of these emails from Citi? It would be nice to think that after 5 years, Citi would forgive and forget. But I just don't see it happening. The offer is not a preapproval. Any opinions?
I got that e-mail today too. I have a regular Citi AA card. I'm always leery of e-mail credit card offers. EdG
Kerry, Don't be so sure citi will even know you had a previous account with them. I had TWO chargoffs with them and applied anyway. I was declined but NOT because of PREVIOUS ac****s with them. -Sal
