    Wow...

I just called customer service to see what they could do. Currently I was at 16.65% and they lowered it to 14.xx (didn't catch the last numbers).....I sighed and was like, o.k. I guess it's better than nothing considering I haven't even received my first bill yet. I've already made $1600 in payments and will pay off the remaining balance of $1200 when I get the bill.

For those of you who have this card, what is your APR? Shall I fire off a PFB letter?

The way i see it, why worry about the APR on a points card? If you want the lowest APR, switch to platinum select and go for prime+0.9%. These airline cards make no sense to carry balances, since you are always charged a premium APR and fee. A couple of months of balance carryover negates the whole plan..

mine was 14% roughly when i got it. I didn't ask for less, i just combined. Worked out better. The gold AA is the old ugly design, i did not like it.
