My brother applied for a school loan with citi, and was denied on the basis of a collection account. The collections account is $0, and $0 high credit (showing as a paid collection), and that he should bring a cosigner to reapply. I wrote a goodwill letter on his behalf for them to reconsider, and that the collections item should not even be there in the first place, and currently working with the agency to get it out of there.... blah blah. Anyway, my brother has now found a cosigner, but im suggesting we wait till we hear either yes, or no from citi. The letter was sent 2 weeks ago. Is there any way we might be able to check the status of the letter... whether someone's reviewing it? Thanks!
