Saar recently mentioned something about this card. Does anyone know what kind of score Citibank needs to be approved ?

I already have one card from Citibank (Sony card) and I use it a lot so I hope this would help in getting approved. The thing is that I have a couple of inquiries on my report now so I was wondering if I should wait a few months or go for it right away ? It's tough to find a Visa Signature card with no annual fee.

Exactly. Which is why I've decided that card will be my next credit goal. Visa Signature + Hilton rewards card all-in-one and no annual fee, means a true gem.

Your Sony card is issued by "Citibank (SD) N.A.", whereas this one is issued by "Citibank USA". Both are part of CitiGroup, but for most practical purposes are 2 different issuers.

I have a HHonors visa, but it is not signature. They just recently switched to signature cards instead of regular cards.

I'm thinking about asking if my account can be switched.

When you first got this card did Citibank automatically set up the Hilton Honors membership for you or did you set it up on the Hilton Honors website ?

They will automatically set one up for you.

But I already had one set up with points, so my card is hooked up with the one I already had.

Can you link two cards to the same HHonors account ? I was thinking about going for both the Citi HHonors and AMEX HHonors cards. This is because on the AMEX card you get 3 points for every dollar and 5 points for staying at the hotels. I was thinking about using the AMEX card for regular purchases and the Citi card for places that don't accept AMEX so that the points would add up much faster.

Does this card have "instant" on-line approval?

    Steve,

I don't see why not. I think it is a great idea. Amex give you more points, but you can use the visa even at places that don't take amex.

    eagle,

I don't think any of the citibank USA cards offer instant approval. I know this one doesn't.

A signature card has no preset spending limit. It is VISA's equivalent to the MC World card.
