I read, a few months ago here, that someone received a line increase equal to their balance transfer amount. Has this been the norm for everyone? If not, how long did it take to get a line increase from Citi? I have the Dividend Platinum Select card? Thanks.

You are not the only one George. I have had my card with them for almost 9 years! Have I received an increase, nope! I have one charge off from 6 years ago on my credit report, and I am being punished like I was late with them.

I received an offer for a credit line increase if I would agree to do a BT to my Citi world mastercard. I did the BT and the CL was raised from 10.5K to 16.5K.

Well, Citi offerd a 6.*% BT rate but no increase. The rep said that the account needed to be open at least 6 months. I declined the offer since I only wanted to increase my credit line. Oh well.

AT&T frequently sends offers that they'll increase my cl up to 2,000 more if I do a balance transfer with them. They will do it without charging a fee and will increase the cl up to the amt of the balance transfer upto 2k.
