Sometimes applying for credit cards is reminiscent of getting debts verified with CRAs. It seems that they actually look at some requests and others they dont. I guess you really do have to take in account those processing these requests..
Have you ever called in and contested their decision. I remember you stating that you was told you too many open accounts. Was that by citibank? Mike G.

I got a CitiClick card with 1000 cl with a dozen or so inquiries within 6 months (TU) and my FICO is 625 according to the last contact I had with TU. I paid off a charge-off with them 7 years ago and I don't owe any one money only 2 PAID charge-offs and 2 lates from 4 years back.
what type of information are you looking for? I have been fighting Equifax for 5 months to properly report my Ford Motor Credit account. In April of this year, they decided to report me as 90 days late. I have disputed in online and via phone conversations for the past 5 months. In June, they asked that I provide them with a phone number, because it would be the only way they could break the contract they have with Ford on how they verify the accounts. I did so. In July, they asked that I provide a name and extension of someone at Ford. I did so after arguing with Ford for an hour. Finally, in August, I am informed that Equifax has changed it's policy and no longer does phone verifications and that I was misinformed in July. I mailed an intent to sue letter to Equifax on Monday. I have not received the return receipt yet. Mike G. accendo@mail.com ps I forgot to mention that my interest rate went up 2% because of the error on my Equifax report. More specifically, because the score was so low.
