While on CitiCard Account Online, "Credit Line Increase Request" is an option in the Manage My Account menu. Does this request result in a hard inquiry? Thanks.
Probably hard. It says in there someplace that they can pull a credit report. I assume that if they do, it's a hard. You'd think they could use an AR, wouldn't you?
When you click on the credit increase button and you get a screen that says you are approved for an increase and you accept the increase, you won't get a hard. If you don't get this option but instead are asked to fill out a form, you will get a hard.
HOLY $#!+ !!!!!! Had the account only six months and they offered me another $700 ($1700 CL total). SOBs at Crapital One only offered me another 200 bucks last month after being with them for over seven YEARS! BTW, the screen says that a credit report was NOT pulled to evaluate. You can either accept the option, decline and try for a higher CLI or just decline it flat.
