the problem lies in the fact that another department pulls a hardon and reviews your score (which is higher than the approval score, btw) if you ASK for a BT. You can either PFB executive offices (and they'll be glad to pull a hardon too), or you gotta raise your internal score a good bit and you'll get them automatically... Citibank is a strange company in that respect. One of my accounts (barely used) won't qualify for a BT but my primary account (0.9%+prime) has two BT offers always. Apparently they score each account separately and qualify you differently for each card even if they are the same card type..
Sam I get offers on my Choice card. I have a balance on it. I have had it since the early 90's I did get a rep that told me to transfer balance from the Choice then take the transfer offer and transfer back to Choice. Which is what I am going to do. If the Platinum Cards have no offers now I know in the future they will. I should not have to PFB Citibank. I should have a good internal score. I have had several accounts with them paid in full on good terms. I do have several open accounts also all on good terms.
