Hubby applied for Citi Platinum. He just received a letter to send proof of residency. Funny, he already has a regular citibank card. How do they not know who he is? LOL Does this mean he is already approved or that they haven't even started the approval process? Does anyone have experience? Thanks! Laurie
My mail is not delivered to a residence, but to a Personal Mail Box instead. I get requests to prove residence address, and there is an alert on my credit report (only the one that the mortgage company pulls) saying that I'm using a mail forwarding service. This may not apply to you, but is one reason why they ask for proof.
Send in proof of residency such as a telephone bill, etc. and he most likely will get the card. Seeking such proof means they are in the final approval process.
Bank One did that to me when I applied for a cc but I was a current checking/savings account customer. I called the cc customer service rep and explained that I was a current Bank One customer. The rep took down my account info and forwarded to the cc department. From there I was approved, so I never did mail them any proof of address. Best regards, Mirage
