My Citi account has not been updated since the first of September on Experian. EXP tells me that Citi has not updated. I finally got a FAX number for Citi that handles this problem. I faxed them a letter and three weeks later they contacted me saying they would update all three CRA's immediately. That was over two weeks ago. Nothing has shown up on EXP yet. I made a very large payment on Citi and would like to see it reflected in my scores. Does anyone know if this is a Citi problem or an EXP problem?
Karen, Citi update my accounts to all credit bureaus--1/02. I called credit bureau before asked them why they haven't updated my accounts. It's not the bureaus fault and it only store what the creditors reported. They told me to check with the creditors. Ron.
Citi hasn't updated my report with Exp either. last updated in 9/2001. The last update was in 1/2002 with EQ and TU.
Ron, although you are most likely correct about this being citi's fault, there is the chance this is the bureaus fault. I was told when an update is sent, it can take from 30 - 60 days to report. As proof, when gulf state re-reported an acct. in early Feb. I called them. They sent a UDF to all 3 asking to have it removed. As of today, it still hasn't been removed from Equifax and they claim they still haven't received an update.
Karen. Someone told me to make a small trival purchase using your citi card.. then a new balance will show up. Unfortunately I challenged the balance on my citi account via experian and the entire account was deleted. I bought a couple of Easter gitfs for my daughter last week using the citi card. I will make a post if the account and new balance shows back up. Cherie
that doesn't seem to work with Experian or TU, I disputed balances on both they deleted the whole tradeline. I then used both cards for acitivity, 4 months and counting, no reappearance
I also have two Citis, 09/2001 last update on Experian. I disputed both accounts (balance incorrect) and one of my card was completely deleted!. I had a 3500 balance on that card, So my credit expert score rised 15 points to 740.
