Scenario: After combining card #3 from citi. Wait 1 month, apply for 2 more (AAdvantage) cards. Called up Citi yesterday, Applications for both are pending review of current Accounts. Rep said "There used to be limits on # of cards, we now consider your total outstanding credit lines on issuance of cards.." No word yet. We'll see what the truth is soon. Citi pulled a hard inquiry again today in my equifax notifications.. hrm..
Well, I'm still waiting also. Applied on the 5th and they pulled a report, then they pulled another report on the 8th (of October) and I still haven't heard anything yet.
the next day they pulled the second report, i called and got my approval verification (and a denial too!) call them
Sam, I am confused. I thought in an earlier post you indicated that you were just approved for a Silver card with a 6K limit? Is this another application you are talking about?
They pulled two hard inquiries on my approval. I applied for both silver and gold. The day after the second inquiry was pulled, i called, and they told me i was approved for silver and declined for gold , only because i have the max # of citi cards.
