I have two citibank cards. 1 regular and 1 plantium. I sent them an email requesting to change my plantium to Upromise plantium card. They said they couldn't do this and I had to apply for it. My question is, do you think it's worth the inquiry? I have a 6 month old and I really like the idea of Upromise but I don't know if it's worth the additional inquiry. In addition do you think I would get turned down? I have perfect pay history on my other two cards? Equifax score is 644. Top reason my score is being held down is the number of inquiries.
I have a plantium select dividend. What are the differences? Upromise is a plantium citibank card where 1% of your purchases go towards college funding for your children. It get deposited into a 529 account. I just figured I charge anyway I should get something out of it for my son... )
You don't need an upromise card, you can enroll your platinum card for the program. I did this a few months back. Upromise is a program that you can enroll certain Citi cards, platinum select being one of them.
Actually you can enroll all your credit cards not just Citibank. Citibank will give you an additional 1% on top of the other companies but you have to have the Upromise Citibank card not just a Citibank card.
sweetchild, Last time I applied for Citibank Dividend Platinium Select Card and they called them. They told me that I cannot have more than 2 Citibankcards. They gave me 2 choice either they denied me or they have to take portion of the credit line from other cards to the new accounts. I agree to take $1000 out of my Sony Platinium Select Card into Citibank Dividend Card. They sent me the card after a week. I heard from this board they denied when you already 2 Citibankcards already. Ron.
Nah i've had 2 Platinum Selects 1 AAdvantage.. Converted to 3 Platinum selects (yes all the plain ones). Combined to 1 Platinum select. (BDD)
How did you go about doing that? Did you call them and ask them to convert all 3 into 1? That would be my first choice.
