I just had my AA card upgraded to Plat Select and currently on the site the are advertising 2.9 for 9 months when I was upgraded I wasn't offered this or a BT should I have been offered this? mindy
Those who upgrade an existing card to the Platinum Select normally don't get BT offers. However, as soon as I spoke w/ Retention and mentioned BT, they offered a 5.9% BT. Strange as it may seem, their 5.9% offer is probably better than their 2.9% offer. That's because the 5.9% offer is fee-free, whereas the 2.9% offer carries a hefty BT fee. If you're going to pay off within a year or less, the 5.9% offer is much better. Saar
