I just called and stated I did not want an annual fee and the guy I spoke to said "oh we have platinum with no annual fees" and explained the different ones to me and allowed me to choose my card. It was very easy and all I did was ask. I told him I did not want the card if it had an annual fee and he helped me out.

And if the platinum is harder to get why did they switch me no questions asked from the AA to it?
He said it would be no problem to switch and I verified no hard inquiries required beforehand.

I'm not disputing the reason they switched me!!!

I'm saying that there seems to be no difference between the AA and the platinum approval process. If there is then just apply for the AA and call to have it switched to a platinum!!

Do you have the BofA card? Did you get the 5.99% they are now offering?

How long (after opening the account) to wait to ask Citi to lower the APR?

ok well I did it...the bdd...for my mom though, I'm still waiting to get rid of my last negative item to try it for myself. They combined two 4800 cards into a 9600 card...which is pretty sweet if you ask me. Now here is a quick question.

The citibank divdend plat select? Is this card better than the "regular" plat select?

If so, would it have made sense to ask for that card instead of the "regular" one? I don't know, just trying to understand their levels, cause there are a lot of cards and of course people want the best one (if possible.)

    Thanks George and Creditnet

Citi Dividend PS is nice. Every year you get a check and the APR is decent at 7.99%. So, if you charge alot, it would be the way to go.

I think the regular PS may get the same or lower APR, but am not sure.

I need advice...tried to do the BDD again, but this time for me (last time did it for my mom) and I applied online, but didn't get an instant decision. So should I apply for the 2nd card too? Should I call? My score is 726 pg. (they pull eq)
