Called Citi today. APR was now lowered to Prime+1.9%

Once the Prime rate is updated, this would mean 7.4% on purchases.

But don't let this fool you. I won't give it a rest until my Citi APR matches sam's P+0.9% :)

SAAR, I combined my brand new citi aa and gold to a Platinum but only went from 16.9% to 14.2% and both fees waived. Is it because i am a new customer (have not used the cards) the reason why I can't get a lower rate?

Is there any bt fees? If not I would say thats a great deal......

If theres a fees it's still a good deal...

btw what kind of letter did you send to citi? a complaint or a compliment? I sent a compliment and they called and dropped my rate to prime + 3.9 which is now at 10.4%. Actually next month it's going to be under 10 because off the rate reduction recently.

I am going fire off another letter and see if I can have it reduced a little more.

How long did it take Citibank to respond to the PFB letter? I submitted a letter more than a week back requesting a lower APR, but have not heard anything back. Do they normally respond by phone or mail?

    Thanks.......

They responded to my letter within 10 days. And they actually called me, first at work then my cellphone.

    Re: Fee & Responce

I got my response from the letter I sent Citibank thru Planet Feedback. I sent it as a question. I asked about lowering my apr (prime +3.24).

I received a letter back today that prime +3.24 is the best they can offer on my account yada yada yada.

So Planet Feedback was of absolutely no benefit for me with Citibank.
