I have two CITI cards that are both 3 months old. I have the Platinum select at 10.99% with 0% BT till 8/2002 and the Gold AA at 10.99%. The Plat. Select was originally the Silver AA card. I know I should have combined then converted. Both have $5,500 limits. I called Citi to inquire about changing the Gold card. The rep was very nice and offered me a choice of several platinum products. She gave me so much info my head was spinning so she mailed out info so I could compare. She stated I could combine the gold w/ the Plat.select or choose another Plat. line. My credit is so so EQ 660, TU 656 Ex 700, one public record and two small collections. My point is CITI took care of me reduce both APRs from 16% to 10.99% offered 0% BT , changed my payment date on the Plat. card with no hassle what so ever. They did this with no additional credit reports being pulled.Of course I'm worried about them turning on me some day but it appears that most of these credit card companies are out to get you anyhow. At this point I trust CITI because I do believe their trying to increase their market share and weed out competition. Hey, every industry does it! Only the strong survive!
Yes, you got it. If you have an idea what you usually write checks and use debit cards for each month - that is how much you can "BT". It works, like I said, I use it. I think you can also use C2it - waiting for it to post, then I will tell you all how it is treated by the card company, I think it has been treated as a purchase, just looking at the authorization amt. but I have something else that may have authorized at the same time, so not sure. Dont forget - utilities, phone bills, cell phone bills - look through your check book.
No, I'm pretty sure it's the WTC thing with reporting. If you dispute it, they won't answer. I am showing a zero balance because I disputed it and they didn't respond yet. I just disputed as incorrect balance. I do that anyway with any company that won't update like they should (IMO). Now, they have increased my credit line, LOL, and are not reporting the new limit. Fine with me, as long as I have the zero balance showing, hehe. please note, I do not actually have a zero balance on that card.
