This question intrigues me because I have a bk and Citi was one one unfortunates discharged under chapter 7, so legally I owe them nothing. Nevertheless, What if someone in my position offered to open a savings and checking account with Citibank for a large amount in Deposit - say 50k or better. I am concluding that is a large amount.

Would Citibank overlook a bk and issue a credit card with such a large deposit? If not, why not? A larger deposit?

    Re: Citibank Blacklist Questio

My experience inclines me to believe that they would not open another credit card for you. I also discharged Citibank in a 92 BK, and about a year ago I applied for a secured Citibank credit card (sent in the application with a check), they denied me and returned the check. I am currently in the process of paying them the outstanding debt from the BK.
