By the way, I haven't received any letter from MBNA and they took over my Hilton HHonors Signature Visa. I think they only sell all Netscape credit card portfolio to MBNA. Ron.
I'm sorry MBNA doesn't offer the direct debit from your checking account. I like that about Citibank. My minimum is deducted on the due date, I can pay any amount over that I want, either online or by mail. Maybe MBNA is afraid if they do that, they'll lose their late fee revenue.
I DID IT LAST WEEK!!! SINCE WHEN DO THEY NOT OFFER IT ANY MORE???? <EDIT> OR are you saying AUTOMATIC MINIMUM PAYMENTS ONLY (WITH-OUT YOU SCHEDULING THEM)
I don't have any problems with MBNA and I'm glad to sell my account to MBNA ,NOT BANK ONE. I usuallly schedule payment to pay the accounts (deducted from my checking account) and I have no problems wwith that. Ron.
This is what I was referring to. I don't want to schedule through the internet for up to a year (which means that at some future point I have to remember it again). I want them to just DEBIT MY CHECKING ACCOUNT on the DUE DATE for the MINIMUM PAYMENT. I always get a statement and it tells me that my next autopay will be $xxx on such and such a date. I prefer it that way. I know that my minimum is paid, and I can pay whatever else I want either online or by mailing a check. I don't do all of my accounting and banking on the web, and have no intention of doing so. I don't want to be FORCED to that position. If I want to go online and make a payment, fine. But I don't want that to be the default.
