Those of you who are getting these CiTi Select/AA cards...what was your score (I assume they pulled Equifax, but if not, then what CRA did they pull also)?

And/or if you don't know your score...what was your report like?
0 derogs (I assume all the platinum acceptances had 0)
    1 or 2 derogs
    3 or more

1 or 2 positive subprime tradelines
    3 or more

    1 or 2 prime tradelines
    3 or more

Also which card did you apply for/get?...Thanks in advance.

I want to apply for a CiTi card but want to wait until Equifax clears up. Both TU and Ex are clean. Any and all information is greatly appreciated.

    10 positive opens
    3 positive closes.

05/96 paid collection - under dispute
    07/96 $0 charge-off under dispute

Approved for 3 citibank AA cards (both silver and gold)

Fico score between 603 and 621 during all times on equifax.

hope that helps. Heed my advice: Dispute and make sure all your negs are in dispute while applying. I think it makes a difference :)

Thanks Sam, good info and good advice. I just started another dispute online with Eq but will wait until I am sure they are fully in dispute phase before trying (if I try soon:)

30 days ago had a score of 625 with 8 of both good and bad and got a 6k AAdvantage Silver. Today I changed it to a Platinum Select. I also applied online for the Dividend Platinum today with a score of 626 and recieved a 2800 line of credit with an increase to 4k with balance transfers. I went the balance transfer route.

BTW- the derogs are very old.

I don't know my scores, but I have 1 or 2 derogs on both TU and Equifax. I just got approved for a $3000 limit "silver" AAdvantage card.

The reason I mention TU is that Citibank recently pulled a TU report before denying me a limit increase on my ClickCiti card. But I assume they pulled an Equifax report before approving the AAdvantage card.

Why is your score so low with no derogs?

    Nave,

I don't know for sure what my score was at the time, but it's ranged between 640 and 660 for the past four years. I have one paid collection from 1997 for $138 on Equifax, nothing else bad on the others.

There are quite a few positive tradelines, including mortgage, car payment, 17 active credit card accounts. My 2-3 subprime cards were closed in April of 2000, before my run of approvals started in May 2000.

Oh yeah, they pulled Equifax for my initial application. When I requested a limit increase earlier this year, they pulled TransUnion (DENIED!).

    Thanks Jacqui,
I don't know my score was but I went for it... I think they pulled Equifax and I have 5 derogs that were in dispute when I applied. Got the Silver and Gold!

Richguy, Now that you got the Silver, go back and apply for the Gold AAdvantage, then combine the Silver and Gold and then upgrade to Platinum Select. That was the advice I got from this board and it worked great.

BTW I kept the Silver and upgraded the Gold to Platinum Select Dividend.

I was approved for 2 cards (silver and gold AA). My score was at least 601 at the time (could of been higher). I had 2 collections (1 paid and 1 unpaid) but I think they were in dispute status. Then I had this trade from Asset Acceptance for $523 balance w/ $532 past due. It might of been in dispute status as well. I had a paid student loan collection (in dispute status), a paid auto chargeoff, and ~10 positive trades. They pulled Equifax my best report. Funny how when I asked for an increase on my classic Visa they pulled TU.
